After our first night in Cappadocia, we woke up super early for our hot air balloon ride..:)
and the temperature outside is a bitter –5dgrees celcius!
we den headed down to our “runway”… and there were all the balloons.. all getting filled with hot air.. :)
Our ugly balloon… the UGLIEST of the lots.. “its ok lah.. at least we get to take pictures of the nicer ballons :)”
and we have a lift-off!
the view of our hotel…from above..
The ballon “pilot” landed the entire basket of us on a trailer! and den we had to help fold the gigantic balloon.. and we popped champange to celebrate… that we’re still alive??
We then headed back to hotel from breakfast and headed out after breakfast… we visited a place called Goreme. where old christians of the days lived in the rocks (which explains all the window-like holes in the mountains rocks during the hot-air ballon ride) to escape persecution…
We den had lunch in a restarant in a cave… and this man is the entertainer..
Rocks shaped like a camel…
and we visited a carpet shop.. and they were selling hand woven carpets… the first one the showed us costs over 100000USD!
Sorry for the under exposed pictures…
Silkworm cacoons…
We den headed off to an underground city! a fully equipped underground city… with stables and kitchens! :)
But unable to capture them on my cameras.. i din haven flash on my Nikkormat.. just on my wai wai..
Out of the city jus in time to see the sunset yet again… :) Hallelujah!
Day eight ends :)
