Dinner with DS

Last Sunday, Ds Lim came over for a nice dinner with our family, prepared by mommy! :) Had a wonderful time of just catching up and sharing how (naughty) we were when we’re small little boys.

Thank God for the blessed time spent with eachother!

Youth Day 2010 – Remembering the times when we were young

Nope, not celebrating Independence Day here at Plaza Singapura Cafe Cartel, but we’re all just chomping down on our (not so healthy) dinner trying not to miss our movie at 1910hrs: Toy Story 3! Yup, so all of us can’t wait to watch the highly anticipated movie and thank God we made it into the cinema on time for a Pixar “pre-movie treat”! Forgot what it was called, i think “Day and Night”. Really cute! just like before they' screened UP!, they screened a short film about a cloud too! :)

Toy Story 3 was fantastic! Those who’ve yet to watch it, GO WATCH IT! A really sweet (and simple) storyline with enough action scenes and LOADS of comedy! :) 5 thumbs up! (or stars)

Can’t wait for the full toy story boxset to be out!
and TOTORO WAS SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! :)

Be One, Be Blessed Day 2 (Good Morning COGS! )

This is the following installment of the Church Camp (yes, finally). Alright, so finally i am allowed to put up the photos of the preparations and efforts that goes into planning for GO!, the june outreach! :)

Dear Papa, Happy Birthday to you!

July 1. Today is my father’s birthday! Had a short celebration with a small cake and a little present to thank my papa for his years of had work pulling the family together and at times, pulling us apart whenever needed!

Thank you for EVERYthing that you’ve ever said to me.
Thank you for your God-given temper that is so effective towards someone like me.
Thank you for always being able to tolerate my nonsense ever since i was just a small little boy.
Thank you for never allowing how you’re feeling after your day’s work to affect the way you speak to all of us at home.

GO! The Race is On.

The Synthesis had our June Outreach last Saturday, 26062010, planned by L.I.F.E. Cell, headed by Alvin and Michelle. It was a extensive race all over the area of queenstown, filled with sun, sweat and the excitement of various turn of events! :)

The 5 hour long race lasted the whole of Saturday, and ended off with a scrumptious dinner of a Japanese Bento set with a generous portion of Shepherd’s Pie!

Kudos to the planning committee for a job very well done,

Well let’s start off with some high dynamic range (HDR) pictures! :) Did them in a program called Photomatix, Thanks Ryan for spending a whole evening teaching me! :) Yup, they’re meant to look surreal and please don’t hestitate to click on the pictures to view the larger version! :)

The next two HDRs are taken from the top floor of one of the blocks at Forfar Heights! :) look carefully and maybe, just maybe you can spot Alvin and some of the racers at the rooftop garden of the car carpark! :)

Project Make. Believe.

Ok, our course isn’t really Project Make. Believe. or else Sony would be suing us for using their “catch phrase”..

But well, we had a short basic film making course held in church and i was only able to turn up for half out of three full day sessions! :( stupid flu….

But yea, Ryan turned up that day with a huge shoulder mount video camera which was really rather cool! hahah.

Tried spooking Ps Wong which failed! hahha

Yup, nothing much! :)

Go FLY KITE lah you… :)

Yup, so was at the Marina Barrage one night with my family and i brought my camera and its 50/1.4 along. Really really hard to shoot at such low light (near no) light conditions… :(

But well, these are a few pics, sorry for the grainy and noisy pictures.. Flash wasn’t really ideal and hence all i could do is ramp up the ISO..

So there was this group of kite flyers there and they were flying this huge huge kite! :) Really nice with led lights in the night sky! :)

the kite went up really easily! he just let it go and it flew alllll the way up! :) no more running and jumping with kites anymore people.. this is how the pros do it! :) 

Up it goes… really pretty! :)

Well then the three gaints in the distance started some light sabre fighting thingy..

This is one kite being reeled in for the night!

I’m quite sure in the near future, someone is going to sneak into the towers and put up a giant bat stencil on the spotlights! Perhaps batman will appear then and save us from all our troubles!
